Manufacturing Cool Intelligence: The People Behind Every Refrigeration System
For World Refrigeration Day 2026, the global theme Cool Intelligence highlights the knowledge, decisions and skilled people behind cooling systems. At PSI, that intelligence begins long before a refrigeration system reaches site.
Behind every reliable refrigeration system are essential components manufactured with care, accuracy and process knowledge. From pressure equipment and skid packages to cold store doors, control panels and switchgear, each product plays a role in helping critical facilities operate safely and consistently.
Cooling starts on site. Cool Intelligence starts at the workshop.
Where Cool Intelligence Begins
Manufacturing for industrial refrigeration is not only about fabrication. It requires understanding how each product will be installed, operated, maintained and integrated into the complete system.
Will the equipment operate under pressure?
Will it be exposed to low temperature or outdoor conditions?
Does the layout support safe access and maintenance?
Will it integrate with controls, piping and site requirements?
Does the product meet the required quality and inspection standards?
These decisions are made by people with hands-on knowledge of fabrication, quality control, production planning and project requirements.
Each product passes through several stages before delivery. Engineering review, material verification, fabrication, welding, inspection, testing and finishing all contribute to the final result.
Engineering and drawing review
Material verification and traceability
Fabrication and welding control
Dimensional inspection
Pressure testing where applicable
Surface preparation and final inspection
This is where human judgement matters. The quality of a refrigeration system depends not only on the design, but also on how every component is manufactured and checked before it leaves the facility.

This year, we are celebrating the people behind PSI. Their experience, attention to detail and practical knowledge help turn engineering requirements into finished products that support refrigeration systems across different industries.
Cool Intelligence Is Built by People
Technology, equipment and systems will continue to evolve. But the thinking behind them still comes from people who understand the details and take responsibility for the outcome.
At PSI, we are proud to celebrate the teams who bring intelligence into every vessel, every skid, every door, every panel and every project.
Cool Intelligence is not only found in systems and technology. It is found in the people who make the right decisions at every stage of manufacturing.
A closer look at what we build, how we solve, and where it all comes together, from project milestones to industry insights and behind-the-scenes engineering.
