PSI Achieves ASME U2 Certification, Setting a New Standard in High-Pressure Vessel Manufacturing

PSI Signs AED 6 Billion Framework Agreement with ADNOC

Polar Specialized Industries (PSI) is proud to announce that we have officially received the ASME U2 Certificate of Authorization, marking a significant milestone in our commitment to engineering excellence and safety. This certification expands our capability to manufacture Class 1 and Class 2 pressure vessels designed for high-pressure, high-temperature, and mission-critical industrial applications. Recognized globally as one of the highest compliance levels within the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code, the U2 stamp is reserved for equipment that must meet the industry’s most rigorous engineering, fabrication, and inspection requirements.

Why the ASME U2 Stamp Matters

Pressure vessels certified under the U2 stamp undergo enhanced levels of scrutiny throughout their lifecycle. This includes:

  • Advanced design and stress calculations for elevated internal pressures
  • Enhanced NDT requirements such as UT, RT, MPI, and advanced inspection methods
  • Full material traceability from raw material to final assembly
  • Oversight and verification by an Authorized Inspector throughout fabrication and testing
  • Strict hydrostatic or pneumatic pressure testing

Because of these stringent requirements, U2-certified vessels are relied upon in industries where failure is not an option, including petrochemical plants, refineries, offshore platforms, industrial gases, and specialized process systems.

What This Certification Means for Our Clients

With the newly obtained ASME U2 authorization, PSI can now:

  • Manufacture Class 1 and Class 2 pressure vessels
  • Produce vessels designed for high-pressure/high-temperature service conditions
  • Execute fabrication at our KEZAD facility and PSI-supervised field sites
  • Support projects requiring the highest levels of safety, code compliance, and inspection meticulousness.

This achievement further strengthens our position as a trusted partner for clients operating in demanding industrial environments across the GCC and global markets.
